Group Exercise Program

Falls Prevention Program Overview

The falls prevention group offers a 12-week program with an initial assessment to evaluate overall function and falls efficacy. Short-term goals are collaboratively set with an allied health professional and the participant. The program includes a personalized home exercise program, education on various falls-related topics, and supervised group exercises led by a physiotherapist or exercise physiologist. After 12 weeks, participants undergo reassessment to track their progress and receive ongoing recommendations. The program aims to provide education, offer exercises, create a supportive environment, and connect members with community resources to empower individuals to reduce the risk of falls and promote safety and independence.

Live Telehealth Wellness Exercise 8-Week Program

The participants are guided through exercises which will engage them for 45minutes targeting strength, cardiovascular, balance and coordination. The sessions are run by an exercise professional which the participants can follow along to via video or telephone supported by the exercise hand outs and equipment provided.

Participants will be offered varying levels of difficulty for each exercise to ensure that they get the most out of the sessions.

This is an ideal program for those clients on lower level funding and for those wishing to increase their weekly exercise expenditure. They can participate in as many times as they like during the 8-week program as we run live sessions on Mond, Wed and Fri at 9:30am.
